El Rahman is dedicated to tackling complex social challenges with unwavering passion and commitment. Our mission encompasses various initiatives, from assisting the homeless and supporting families affected by domestic violence to welcoming Palestinians seeking refuge in Australia. We aim to provide a helping hand to everyone in need.
Through collaboration and community involvement, we offer comprehensive support, including shelter, resources, and emotional care for those facing hardship. Additionally, we run youth programs designed to address the unique challenges young people face, providing them with the tools and support needed to navigate issues such as mental health, substance abuse, and social isolation. Our approach is rooted in empathy and a strong belief in the intrinsic dignity of every person, motivating us to tirelessly pursue a more inclusive and compassionate society. Through El Rahman projects, we recognize that genuine progress is achieved when we unite in our dedication to uplift and empower the most vulnerable among us.
Community Pantry
Each week we help feed hundreds of locals in need. This includes feeding the homeless, elderly pensioners, refugees awaiting visa status and eligibility to earn an income, disabled persons, and anyone else who is in need of assistance.
The pantry is open to anyone in need, whether you need enough food and groceries for individuals or whole family, or anyone who simply just want a loaf of bread (we have PLENTY!), please come down to the pantry and speak to our wonderful volunteers.

Homeless Aid
We assist the homeless and those in need by providing essential daily items and groceries, as well as Crisis Accommodation for individuals and families at risk of homelessness. Furthermore, we gather non-perishable food items, groceries, blankets, clothing, toiletries, and other vital products for distribution in collaboration with other charitable organizations, at events held every two weeks. You can also support this significant cause by making monetary donations which will go towards purchasing products to hand out to those in need.
Refugee Arrival Support
Facilitating the Seamless Settlement and Integration of Newly Arrived Families from Gaza and other countries into Australia
El Rahman offers comprehensive support to newly arrived refugees, ensuring they have everything needed to thrive in Australia. We assist in finding housing, providing furniture, appliances, food, clothing, toys for children, and much more. We help with rental payments until they secure an income and connect them with potential job opportunities. Additionally, we support youth in engaging with social activities, sports clubs, and educational programs to ensure a solid foundation for their future.
Assistance with School Supplies
As we all know, school packs and other general educational products and supplies come at a cost. We aim to provide much needed financial relief to disadvantaged families.
Monetary donations will be used to purchase any supplies needed; alternatively, any physical products can be dropped off to our office at 2/36 Kyabram St, Coolaroo during office hours.
Domestic Violence
Promoting awareness and providing support to survivors of domestic and family violence, encompassing men, women, and the children in their care. This includes providing temporary emergency accommodation until a more permanent solution is found, along with providing groceries and other essential items as necessary, among other forms of assistance.
Youth Projects

Single Parent Assistance
Offering assistance to single parents with young children, particularly those who have fled the war and devastation in Gaza, by providing rental support along with food and other essential supplies until they can attain financial stability.
